Key Information & Reminders

Arriving and leaving school

We are currently looking at the Government’s new guidance regarding start and finish times and will contact you as soon as possible to confirm the arrangements.

Healthcare Plans & Administering Medication Forms

It is important that we are kept regularly up to date with your child's healthcare needs. If your child has a health condition please tell us by completing the Individual Healthcare Plan attached below and emailing it to office@stokepoges.school.

If your child requires medication whilst in school, please also complete the Parental Agreement for Setting to Administer Medicine Form and email it, along with the Individual Healthcare Plan.

Please bring your child's medication to the school reception to be signed in. The school can only accept medication in its original packaging indicating the patient name and dosage that has been prescribed by a Dr and when both of the above forms have been received.

Lunches

Dolce provide free hot lunches for Reception, Year 1 and 2, although parents may wish to provide their own.  Key Stage 2 will be able to purchase these or provide their own.

End of Day Arrangements Forms

Please complete the attached form to inform us of your child's end of day arrangements.

Contact Details

Please inform us of any changes to your contact details, by emailing the school office or by using the School Gateway app.

Equipment and resources

For individual and very frequently used equipment, such as pens and pencils, it is recommended that all children have their own items that are not shared.  These should stay in school.

Please can we ask that you provide for your child:

  • Small packet of tissues
  • A water bottle
  • A breaktime snack

KS2 Recommended Stationery List

· Small pencil case

· HB writing pencils (x2 minimum)

· Purple pen - for editing work

· 15cm ruler

· 30cm ruler

· Glue stick – more than one is helpful

· Eraser

· Pack of colouring pencils

· 2 x A4 zip lock plastic folders

· Yellow highlighter

· Sharpener

School Uniform

Pupils should come to school in their PE kit on the days that they have this subject.

All school uniform, excluding ties, swimming hats and the school jacket, can be purchased online from Different Class Schoolwear. Differentclassschoolwear.co.uk

Ties are available to purchase from your child's class teacher. Please send your child into school with £4.20, in a named, sealed envelope.

Name Labels

Please remember to label all items of your child's uniform with their name. We recommend Stikins name labels, which can be easily stuck into clothes and shoes and onto bags, lunch boxes, drink bottles and pencil cases.

The school will receive a small commission from your purchase, when you enter our school fundraising number 22413. www.stikins.co.uk

If you do not wish to purchase name labels, please mark your child's belongings clearly with a pen.

Extra-curricular activities and clubs

We are hoping for the return of our internal and external extra-curricular activities in the Autumn term and will publish details of these in September.

What will happen if someone becomes unwell?

If someone becomes unwell while at school, with a new continuous cough, a high temperature or loss if taste and smell, they will be sent home and advised to follow government advice.

If a child is awaiting collection, they will be isolated away from other children and cared for by a member of staff.  PPE will be worn by staff caring for the child while they await collection if a distance of 2m cannot be possible.

What will happen if there is a confirmed case of coronavirus?
