This week, we will be celebrating Communication Week! Throughout the week, we will be providing the children with opportunities to practice their communication and listening skills. This may be through whole class or small group games, conversations and circle times. We will also be teaching the children some Makaton signs! We hope that they will share these with you each day and we will also be posting some videos of these signs on our Reception Blog next week.

We are excited to share the Communication Week 'Parent Cards' with you. Each card gives you some top tips on how to develop your child's Communication and Language skills. It also has some fantastic links on it to websites such as Cbeebies, BBC Teach and Book Trust. The children will also be coming home today with a 'Communication Week Challenge Card' in their book bags. These are activities for you to complete at home and can be ticked off on the card as you complete each one! It would be lovely to see some photos of the children completing these activities (photos can be emailed to the office or printed), and they can share their photos with their class. The challenge cards to do need to be brought back to school.
