Junior Challenge Award (Years 4–6)
Building confidence, independence and life skills
Our Junior Challenge Award is a fun and rewarding programme for pupils in Years 4 to 6. It’s designed to help children grow in confidence, take on new challenges and develop important life skills.
- 🥉 Bronze
- 🥈 Silver
- 🥇 Gold
Each level includes three sections, Volunteering, Skills and Physical. The children have to complete challenges, evidenced by a description and pictures. They also have to raise money for charity by completing a sponsored walk. At the end of the Year each award completes a 5km, 10km, or 15km hike to receive their treat and certificate and badge. There is a mix of outdoor learning, creative tasks, helping others, and reflecting on achievements. It’s our own mini version of the Duke of Edinburgh Award—tailored for primary pupils!
We’re proud to offer a rich and varied programme that helps every child discover what they love and what they’re capable of.
